Perched high on the Bolaven Plateau over looking the spectacular Tad
Fane waterfall, Tad Fane Resort is a special treat for nature lovers and
those wanting to experience the beauty of Lao life in a very peaceful
setting. Bungalows are located along a windy path, surrounded by trees
and the sounds of birds, with the twin waterfalls in the distance
cascading off a high chasm.
Tad Fane Resort consists of 7
bungalows with two rooms each. The bungalows have an amazing location
1100 metres high on the Bolaven Plateau, set in a spectacular natural
setting, surrounded by trees. Each bungalow is spaciously set along a
windy path, with a good distance between each ensuring shade from trees
and privacy. The only sounds that can be heard in this picturesque
setting are that of birds, crickets, cicadas and the waterfall ensuring a
very peaceful and relaxing stay.
Guests are spoilt with the
natural setting and cooler climate of the Bolaven Plateau. With an
altitude of 1100 metres, this area enjoys more stable, cooler
temperatures then the rest of Laos with the hottest months reaching only
27 degrees Celsius during the daytime. Due to the cooler nights,
foliage, design of the resort and cool breeze, each bungalow is designed
to maximise the natural setting and therefore does not have unnecessary
amenities such as a fan or air conditioning.
This ecotourism
resort, set above a 200 metre gorge with views of Tad Fane waterfall,
also has a restaurant, bar and trekking tours of the local area. Guests
are encouraged to maintain the peaceful environment to really experience
the uniqueness of this location.
